I love a good Soft Cell cover. Actually I love a bad Soft Cell cover too. I May or May not have been really into both the Marilyn Manson version AND the Pussycat Dolls version of Tainted Love. Yeah I know. Anyway, Bilal has done one of the coolest covers of Soft Cell’s Tainted Love I’ve heard, do your ears a big favor and click below.

Million Dollar Misfit

Meet Iggy Azalea. She’s Australian, T.I.’s new protegee, and this year she has the honor of being the first female rapper featured on the cover of XXL Magazine’s annual Freshman Class issue (it’s kind of a big deal). Iggy Azalea is also a total Betty* with a newly signed Wilhelmina Agency contract and has just shot for House of Holland. In short: Girlfriend is having one hell of a year.

I’ve been listening to Million Dollar Misfits on repeat. It’s the perfect song for Summer, whether you’re working out, getting ready for a night out, or need a mid day pick me up.  The track is due to be off her EP Glory (release date TBD) and also features B.o.B. her fellow Grand Hustle Records cohort, with T.I. on the chorus. Check it out y’all!

Every Single Night

Music

Hi All, Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!  Today I thought I’d share the song I’ve been playing on repeat all week with you. Fiona Apple’s “Every Single Night.” It’s the first single off her new project The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do (whew) I’m very excited about it, as I was ridiculously disappointed when I couldn’t get tickets to her show in Brooklyn a month ago (btw thanks for that Ticketmaster). It’s low key, beautiful, and gets better with each listen. Welcome back Fiona!
